Breaking!!! Protesters try to open prison gate in benin

As nationwide protest continue peacefully in varying states, protest in Benin has taken a rather wild turn.

Events happening around Sapele road in the early hours of this morning show protesters marching towards the state prison in Sapele road and trying to open the prison gates.

It was reported that thieves and gunmen took the ongoing protesters as a means to extort passers by off their phones and valuables in various self mounted check points in Benin.

The governor and police chiefs in Edo State are yet to make a statement on the ongoing Rouge protests.
